Background
NBA Africa commissioned Bushkoppies to produce digital-first content for the WNBA All-Star 2024, amplifying the league’s growing global presence and cultural relevance. The project formed part of the WNBA’s broader effort to strengthen its social media ecosystem, spotlight its athletes, and connect with new audiences — particularly across Africa and the global South.
Objective
The objective was to drive engagement around the WNBA All-Star moment by creating culturally resonant social content that celebrated player excellence, individuality, and impact beyond the court. The assets needed to feel current, empowering, and aligned with the WNBA’s values of representation, community, and progress.
EXECUTION
Bushkoppies developed a suite of dynamic social assets capturing the energy, personalities, and star power of WNBA All-Star athletes. The creative approach blended sport, culture, and storytelling — highlighting both elite performance and personal expression — while remaining optimised for real-time social consumption.
