Background
Basketball Without Borders (BWB) is a unique global basketball development program organized by the NBA and FIBA. Its primary objective is to bring young basketball players, coaches, and basketball personnel from around the world together, using basketball as a tool to educate and inspire. BWB focuses on skill development, life skills, and community engagement, particularly for youth in underrepresented regions. By fostering cross-cultural exchanges and providing world-class training, BWB not only develops young talent but also reinforces values like teamwork, respect, and leadership.
In recent years, BWB sought to expand its reach and influence through a strategic marketing campaign. The goal was to create assets that could engage a global audience, showcase the stories of participants, and increase awareness of the program’s broader mission.
Objective
Create eye-catching, shareable content to drive awareness and encourage fan interaction.
Execution
Infographics, player cards, and motion graphics showcased statistics, participant achievements, and training drills. Branded hashtags such as #BWBGlobal and #BWBFamily were used to encourage social sharing. A “Player of the Day” series highlighted top performers, featuring dynamic graphics that celebrated their journey and performance.
Distribution
Graphics were shared on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook, with interactive elements like polls and Q&As on Instagram Stories to increase engagement.
